Music Meditation Music is an independent resource exploring the meeting point of sound and stillness — meditation music, healing frequencies, binaural beats, and the growing science of sonic wellness. Our goal is simple: to be the clearest, most honest guide on this subject anywhere on the web.
Sound has been used to calm and focus the mind for thousands of years, across nearly every culture on earth. Modern neuroscience is now beginning to explain why. We sit at that intersection — taking the practice seriously without abandoning skepticism, and taking the science seriously without stripping away the wonder.
That balance is the whole point. There is a great deal of beautiful, ancient, and genuinely useful knowledge about sound and meditation — and there is also a great deal of exaggerated marketing wrapped around it. We try hard to tell you which is which.
Every guide we publish is held to the same standard, whoever on our team writes it. This is how we work:
When we state a scientific fact, we link to the underlying research — peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses, and reputable institutions wherever possible — so you can check it yourself. If a claim can't be sourced, we either label it as tradition and belief, or we don't make it.
Topics like solfeggio frequencies and "528 Hz DNA repair" are culturally rich but scientifically unproven. We'll always tell you when something is established research, when it's preliminary, and when it's tradition rather than fact.
Articles carry a "last updated" date. As new research emerges or our understanding improves, we revise older pieces rather than leaving them to drift out of date.
Our work is researched and edited by people. We use tools to help us organize and draft, but every published piece is checked, fact-verified, and shaped by human judgment before it goes live.
This site is free. It's supported by display advertising and optional reader donations. We don't sell frequency cures, and a sponsor has never influenced how we frame the evidence.
Music Meditation Music is written and maintained by a small independent editorial team — researchers and writers with a long-standing personal practice in meditation and a fascination with the acoustics behind it. We publish under our m·m·m Editorial byline rather than individual names because the work is collaborative and because we'd rather you judge each article by its sourcing and clarity than by a résumé.
What we are not: we are not doctors, and nothing here is medical advice. If you have a health condition, please treat our guides as a starting point for your own reading and conversations with a qualified professional — never as a replacement for one.
Spotted an error, have a question, or want to suggest a topic? We genuinely want to hear it — reader corrections make this resource better. You can reach the editorial team at proteuspeace@proton.me. We read every message, and we update articles when a correction is warranted.
